The Youth & Student programs of HOC Academy are designed to provide the children of HOC residents with additional educational resources, opportunities and support. The programs are aimed at preparing them for college and other post-secondary education pathways to bolster their self-confidnence and future success.      

Through HOC Academy, HOC youth will be afforded:

• Scholarship Opportunities
• Summer Internships
• Chance to participate in STEM programs
• Chance to participate in the Montgomery College ACES

HOC awards Tony Davis Memorial Scholarships annually to high performing students residing in HOC housing.  To supplement the  scholarship program, HOC offers summer employment and internship opportunities to provide scholarship recipients with the opportunity for career development, mentorship, and generating income, which will help support them going forward. The Agency will also initiate a promotional campaign to encourage HOC youth to partake in the Montgomery College Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) program, which seeks to create a seamless pathway from high school to college completion.
