The Housing Opportunities Commission’s Fatherhood Initiative seeks to strengthen families by strengthening fathers. This program is proud to offer curriculum developed by the National Fatherhood Initiative. This curriculum covers all aspects of being a father including Responsible Parenting, Healthy Relationship Education, Employment Stability and Mobility and Case Management.

In addition to the curriculum, program participants have access to a wide range of resources such as:

  • Community Resource Referral
  • Adult Education
  • Workforce Development
  • Financial Literacy

While enrolled in the program, fathers will develop relationships with other parents and create lifelong bonds. Even more, the skills fathers gain during the program result in healthier relationships with their children.

Eligibility: The Fatherhood Initiative is open to any father that has children living in HOC housing, participating in HOC housing programs, or on the HOC waitlist regardless of age. This program is designed for fathers that want to improve their skills as a father.
