Job Description:

Will determine eligibility and continued participation for HOC Housing opportunity and Tax Credit applicants and families.  Duties include interviewing, certifying, and recertifying clients.   Will act as lead for the Housing Specialists. Will manage, coordinate and oversee housing placements, relocations and transfers with appropriate staff.  Coordinate with Waiting List staff for call-ups and transactions. Coordinates group and/or individual recertification and certifications. Monitors staff caseload, files and ensures quality control compliance.  Provide customer service to internal and external customers. Will respond to inquiries from applicants and tenants. 


Preferred Skills:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Sociology, Government or related field;
  • Requires a minimum of three years experience working with Tax Credit, the Housing Choice Voucher, or other subsidized housing programs.
  • Must have knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, subsidized housing program guidelines and federal, state and local landlord-tenant laws is necessary
  • Experience in the Housing Choice Voucher, Tax Credit or other subsidized program is a plus
  • Must have great verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
