Job Description:

Will carry out administrative tasks in support of the objectives of the Housing Choice Voucher Program.  Will  exercise independence and  judgment to interpret and evaluate data or information. Will conduct semi- annual market rent surveys, collects market rent data for internal database. Will negotiate rent with prospective and participant landlords and ensure approved rents are reasonable for geographic area and in compliance with HUD guidelines.   Will consult with inspection staff to determine unit conditions and establish comparability information by neighborhood and analyze and report trends. Will implement rent determinations and annual adjustment factors in compliance with HUD guidelines. Will be responsible for assisting with Request for Tenancy Approval process. The employee is given overall program objectives and priorities, and is expected to carry out daily activities with little supervision.WP

Preferred Skills:

  • Requires an Associate Degree or equivalent experience 2 years technical training.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in subsidized housing programs
  • Must have extensive knowledge of office management principles and procedures
  • Must have knowledge of Housing Choice Voucher policies.
  • Must have knowledge of payments to Landlords and Clients.          
  • Must possess excellent assessment, oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and exercise good judgment
  • Must have good computer skills (Word & Excel)
  • Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with people of varied backgrounds.
