Job Description:

This is a 24-hour per week, part-time position with benefits. This position is responsible for providing crisis intervention, conducting assessments, providing information and referrals, facilitating groups, developing and administering the Bauer park newsletter, and brief counseling services for elderly and disabled residents and adults residing in the Bauer Park HUB. Other duties include coordinating service deliveries from the County and nonprofit agencies, advocating on the behalf of residents, and completing statistical reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in social welfare, elderly, or disabilities field.
• Must have the ability to relate well to people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Must possess excellent assessment, oral, and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgment.
  Must have the ability to meet deadlines.
• Must have good computer skills (Word & Excel).
• Must have a working knowledge of local community resources.
• Must have a good driving record, and own transportation is required.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred.
