This is a scholarship fund for individuals who seek college or vocational training, including undocumented students who qualify as Dreamers.

Eligibility
This scholarship program is for the residents who:
- Live in subsidized housing in Montgomery County from:
- Housing Opportunities Commission
- Edgewood Management Corporation
- Scotland Community
- Rockville Housing Enterprises
- Forest Park Apartments
- Are graduating high school seniors or
- Are out of school and seek college or vocational training or
- Are current college students or in a vocational school

Selection Criteria
- Applications will be considered on the basis of need and on the general quality and completeness of the online Application. Paper applications are not accepted.
- Preference is given to individuals who have performed community service and plan to enter a field of work related to public service.

- The Bernie Scholarship Awards Effectiveness Study Survey
Awards will help with tuition and/or
school-related expenses.
