This interactive workshop focuses on the agency’s mission in keeping residents housed in the various housing programs that the Housing Opportunities Commission has to offer. The workshop attempts to empower participants with information that will assist them in being successful with housing. The workshop combines effective strategies and information on available resources that can help a resident to successfully maintain his/her housing. Participants will develop a better understanding of his/her housing program and guidelines and the rights and responsibilities outlined in a lease.   Must register online to participate.   Registered participants will receive virtual instructions.

In addition, this will be an opportunity for participants to learn about the services offered by the Resident Services Division. Must register online to participate. Registered participants will receive virtual instructions.

Program Description: Special interactive financial literacy workshop.  This workshop focuses on applying the knowledge you have learned.  Registered participants will have to take $25 to feed a family of five (5). The first 10 registerants will receive a $25 Giant gift card by HOC to purchase the food.  A prize will be given to the participant who is able to feed a family of five with the least amount of money. Additional information will be emailed to registered participants. On-line registration required.

Must register online to participate.  Registered participants will receive virtual instructions.
