The Adult Education and Workforce Development program (AE&WD) is promotes self-empowerment, achievement and upward mobility among customers by connecting them to training and educational services. Program Description: With an ever-growing technological world, it is imperative that we teach our seniors basic technological skills, that will enable them to perform basic technological functions and overcome some of the barriers that they encounter as they strive to use technology. This coaching session focuses on helping seniors troubleshot technological challenges with most of their technological devices such as computers, iPads, smart phones and other devices. Participant will learn to browse the internet, send and receive emails, and be able to use applications on their smartphones such as WhatsApp, viber, and Facebook to chat and receive video calls. Participants will develop and gain skills to become more comfortable with operating various technological devices. If you are interested in becoming tech savvy with most of your technological devices this coaching session will be of great help to you.

Program Description: This class focuses on helping non-native English speakers learn basic conversational English, which will enable them to effectively carry out their day to day responsibilities. The lessons will help them to develop confidence in spoken communication, develop new vocabulary and skills with conversation, and give participants practice with natural speaking and listening. Participants will be encouraged to engage in conversation of everyday topics, and taught how to keep conversation going, interrupt and end conversation appropriately, as well as to ask questions to gain specific information.

Program Description: This program provides valuable tips on different aspects of the typical budget to maximize financial savings and expand quality of life. Each month a different budget item is targeted for ways to save. Examples include transportation, energy, nutrition, entertainment, restaurant outings and other budget items. Other aspects of this program have explored ways to save with online shopping and suggestions on how to organize and maintain an annual budget and supporting documents.
