Job Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the Resident Services Permanent Supportive Housing program with general program and client support. The employee will be assigned tasks based on program and client needs and will vary day today.   Employee will support clients in the client home, community and office settings. Clients are formerly homeless and have disabilities. Examples of Employee tasks; provide client support with obtaining paperwork related to maintaining housing and means-tested benefits, client relocation, scheduling doctors’ appointments, arrange transportation for client, assist client with transitioning to living inside as they exit homelessness. Employee will be required to submit case notes on all client interactions and able to learn and utilize HMIS system. Strong interpersonal skills a MUST. This is a one-year term position with full benefits; position may be continued based on funding. Funding has been continuous.

Preferred Skills:

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent experience, or two years of college or technical training.
  • Minimum of one-year experience working with the disabled or at-risk populations.
  • Must have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality relating to work projects as necessary.
  • Must possess excellent assessment, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, as a team, meet deadlines and exercise good judgment.
  • Must possess thorough proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with people ovaried backgrounds.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday
  • Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive daily during work week
  • Must be able to work at least two evenings and one weekend per month.
