Director of Risk Management
John Broullire is the Director of Risk Management for the Housing Opportunities Commission. Mr. Broullire’s responsibilities include managing risk through avoidance, acceptance, limitation and/or contractual risk transfer. In this role Mr. Broullire collaborates with all Departments in order to work through how to prevent losses or to obtain the most favorable result when something does go wrong.
Prior to joining the Commission in December of 2021 Mr. Broullire was the Director of Risk Management for a large super regional affordable housing management company.
Mr. Broullire also spent 12 years as a Property & Casualty producer focusing on supportive housing, social service organizations and commercial real estate. Before taking up a career in the insurance industry Mr. Broullire held various roles at an affordable housing developer in Washington DC. Mr. Broullire graduated from Springfield College in 2003 with a degree in Community Health. Mr. Broullire currently lives in Gaithersburg, MD with his wife and two children and grew up in Bethesda, MD.
